# vid2llm

Turns a public video URL into text an AI agent can read: author, description,
stats and a timestamped transcript. Pay per request with x402 (USDC), no account or API key.

## Endpoints

- `GET https://vid2llm.dev/v/<video-url>` — metadata + transcript of the audio.
- `GET https://vid2llm.dev/quote/<video-url>` — free: length and the exact price of each option.

Example: `https://vid2llm.dev/v/https://www.tiktok.com/@user/video/1234567890`

`?url=<encoded-url>` works instead of the path form. Add `format=json` or send
`Accept: application/json` for JSON instead of markdown.

## Price

Depends on the video's length, billed per started minute:

- Transcript: $0.005 + $0.005 per minute.

An unpaid request returns `402 Payment Required` with the exact price for that video as
x402 payment requirements (network `eip155:84532`). Retry with a signed payment and
you get the result. You are only charged when the video was processed successfully.

Long videos can take a few minutes. If the answer is `503` with `"status": "processing"`,
repeat the same request after `retry_after_seconds`. Nothing is charged until you get the result.
A `503` with `"status": "busy"` means the queue is full; retry the same way.

## Sources

- Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube: public videos.
- Any other public https page or direct video file link is tried as well, as long as
  the site's robots.txt allows it. Pages behind a login are not read.
  If the length isn't known up front, the limit is 5 minutes.
- Maximum length: 15 minutes.
